THE LONG RANGE DEVELOPMENT PLAN

The 1988 Long Range Development Plan consists of program elements, organizing principles, a land use plan, a circulation and parking section, and guidelines for future projects. The program elements are derived primarily from the Space Plan and implement the academic goals of the campus. The organizing principles have been applied to determine the configuration and allocation of land uses campus-wide. The land use plan indicates the likely future locations of program elements and includes principles that will guide campus development within particular areas. The circulation and parking section describes policies and plans governing the construction of new roads, parking lots, bicycle pathways, and pedestrian paths on campus. The guidelines for future projects are criteria to be used in planning and reviewing individual future projects.
